The Alchemist, Edinburgh

The Alchemist will open its first Scottish location this weekend in Edinburgh's St. James Quarter, serving unique cocktails inspired by the "dark art of molecular science."

The 170-cover venue is recognised for serving up inventive cocktails as well as delectable all-day food with a twist and during the week, I was one of the lucky ones to get a sneak peek, and believe me when I say it did not disappoint!

Monachyle Mhor, Fife

This autumn, Monachyle Mhor is hosting a variety of food and drink activities, ranging from Champagne tastings to a wine and whisky safari.

The award winning venue will host a brand new, exclusive Champagne experience featuring wine and food alongside a wander along Balquihidder Glen, discovering what's available to forage, as well as hosting their annual 'Mhor Wine and Whisky Safari' on October 30th in collaboration with long-time collaborators Liberty Wines.

Sunday Roast @ Hawksmoor Edinburgh

If there's one thing that'll keep you warm on these chilly days, it's a Sunday roast, and you won't believe what Hawkmoor has to offer.

Housed within Cheval The Edinburgh Grand on St Andrew Square, the restaurant cooks its meat on actual charcoal before completing it in the oven, imitating the traditional cuisine of the era – roasted on a spit over an open fire – making their slow-roast prime rib with all the trimmings simply fantastic! Honestly, its the best I've tried yet...
