On Monday, travel between the UK and several long-haul destinations reopened for international travel, with the number of red list countries being reduced to just seven.
The green and amber lists for travel have now been scrapped, but the red list remains for those countries deemed to have high Covid case rates or variants of concern.
Those arriving from red list countries to Scotland are required to quarantine in a hotel that they have booked for 10 days.
On Monday at 4am, advice against leisure trips was dropped for 42 countries and territories on Monday, such as Argentina, Chile, Cuba, Indonesia, Mexico, the Seychelles, South Africa and Thailand.
The red travel list now consists of Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Haiti, Panama, Peru, and Venezuela.
If you have been in a country or area on the red list at any point in the 10 days before arriving in Scotland, you will only be allowed to enter the UK if either: you are a British or Irish National, you have the right to remain in the UK- this includes if you have a visa to work or study in the UK, or you’re travelling to the UK because you have a certain type of job or for essential medical treatment.
For those, over 18, who are fully vaccinated and travelling from non-red list countries you will need to make sure you have a record of your vaccination before you travel and will be asked to show it.
Fully vaccinated passengers travelling to the UK from any non-red list country will no longer have to take a Covid test before setting off.
‘Fully vaccinated’ means that it's at least 14 days since you've had your final dose of a Covid-19 vaccine.
This applies to people vaccinated in the UK, the EU, the US, and other recognised countries - including Brazil, Hong Kong, India, Pakistan, South Africa and Turkey, however you must be able to prove you are fully vaccinated.
Those over 18, who are not fully vaccinated and travelling from non-red list countries are required to complete a passenger locator form, take a COVID-19 test before travelling, take a COVID-19 PCR test - on or before day 2 and on or after day 8 of your 10 day isolation and take a day 2 and day 8 COVID-19 PCR test after you arrive in Scotland.
On arrival in Scotland they must isolate at home or in the place they are staying for 10 days.
As long as they have not been in a red list country in the 10 days before arriving in Scotland, children under 18 do not need to take a test before they travel to Scotland or self-isolate when they arrive, as long as they either normally live in the UK, EU or US, or are a dependent of someone who has been fully vaccinated overseas.
If your child is aged 11 to 17, they must take a COVID-19 PCR test within 2 days of arriving in Scotland, but children under 11 do not need to take this test.
Children who have been in a red list country in the 10 days before arriving in Scotland must follow the normal rules for red list arrivals.

Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
