A major Scots road has been closed in both directions following a serious crash.
Emergency services remain on the scene on the A85 at Benmore Farm near Crianlarich after being called at around 5.50pm.
The road was promptly locked down, and the duration of the closure is unknown.
It is not yet known if there are any injuries in the crash.
A police spokesman confirmed to The Herald that officers are currently at the scene and the road remains closed.
Drivers are being diverted more than 70 miles to avoid the site of the collision, with heavy traffic queuing in both directions.

The diversion, according to Traffic Scotland, is as follows:
Northbound
At the junction of the A84/A85 continue southbound on the A84 to Callander – Turn right onto the A81 and follow the road to the junction of the A81/A873 - Turn Right onto the A81 and follow the road to A81/A821 and take the first exit and continue on the A81 to the A81/A811 Junction - turn right onto the A811 - Follow the A811 to the A81/A809 Junction and turn right onto the A811 and continue to Balloch - At the A811/A82 Junction, turn right onto the A82 and continue on the road until the A82/A83 Junction at Tarbet - At Tarbet turn right onto the A82 and thereafter follow permanent signing.
Distance: 71.5 miles
Southbound
Turn right onto the A82 at the A82/A85 Junction in Crianlarich, follow the road to Tarbet - at the junction of the A82/A83 turn left onto the A82 and follow the road to Balloch - At the junction of the A82/A811 Turn left onto the A811 and continue through Balloch to the A811/A809 - turn left onto the A811 and continue to the A811/A81 Junction - at the roundabout, take the second exit onto the A81 and follow the road past Port of Menteith - turn left onto the A81 at the A81/A873 Junction - Continue on the A81 to Callander and turn left onto the A84 and travel to Lochearnhead. Thereafter follow permanent signing.
