Following the launch of their state-of-the-art showroom Hamilton in 2019, Silver Birch Interiors are now enjoying the growth opportunities they foresaw and had planned begin to materialise.
Since the period working alongside CALA Homes (West) in 2018 & 2019 at the Boclair Gait development in Bearsden the commercial focus within the business has been prominent and top of their growth agenda since early 2020.
It’s been a challenging year for most retail businesses due to COVID this year, but for Silver Birch Interiors, and indeed many within the home improvement industry, they have been delighted with the business and projects they have been able to secure through this challenging period, the largest being CALA Homes (West) 173 unit development in Jackton with the kitchen installations starting early 2021.
Recently appointed to lead the contracts team, Aileen Thomson brings a wealth of 17 years industry experience after long and successful spells with both Tradestyle Cabinets and Kitchens International.
Recognised with multiple national contract design awards by the KBSA (the UK’s kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom association), Aileen’s mix of design flair and organisational structure is key to her success within the contracts marketplace and her appointment will add real value to the already multi-award winning and creative team.
Their focus, led by Aileen, is to capitalise on the new build, housing refurbishments and developments working alongside small, medium, and large sized developers across the central belt of Scotland by providing unique, bespoke design and tremendous attention to client detail while using a variety of truly exquisite German kitchens suppliers.
Aileen, supported by a team of talented designers, project managers will concentrate on providing clients with an exciting, seamless journey from initial design concept to final installation and proactive aftercare.
Alan MacGregor, Managing Director of Silver Birch Interiors says, “It is a great privilege to welcome Aileen to the leadership team. She is one of the most respected individuals within the contract marketplace.
“We’ve had multiple conversions regarding this exciting position since 2016, and I’m just delighted that the success Silver Birch Interiors has in building the business brand, our reputation, winning multiple awards as well as launching our latest showroom on Bothwell Road has helped us massively attract talent and experience such as that of Aileen.
“It’s a great opportunity with her 17 years’ experience, network and credibly, and working alongside the team and current contract partners I’m excited to see the impact we can make for our clients in the decades to come.
Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
