Millions of people are now on furlough and looking to fill their suddenly empty days.

But people who thought they could spend a few happy hours playing Fifa 20 online today have had their plans scuppered by an outage.

The servers of games company EA have been broken by a fault that's stopping players from enjoying a virtual kickabout.

Problems first started last night, before EA claimed it had fixed the issue.

However, another outage has hit now the servers.

EA tweeted: "We're currently looking into the issues affecting our services.

"If you can't play online... we're on it."

The website Down Detector, which tracks problems online, said the issue had affected players across Europe.

On Twitter, one gamer wrote: "It does warm my heart to know that EA Sports does not discriminate.

"Whether there is heavy traffic, light traffic, or no traffic, you can always count on the FIFA servers being equally terrible

"Thanks for lighting the way in this time of darkness EA"
