With the news that Neil Lennon is expected to take over at Celtic until the end of the season, this is what fans are saying online so far:
Can’t believe Brendan Rodgers would leave Celtic for Leicester. Celtic are 10 times the size of club. This is the club that sacked Ranieri after winning the league. Never going to break into the top 6 again. This would be purely financial move IMO

Goodbye Brendan Rodgers.... you have been a good scout and showed real character as Celtic manager! Now give me neil Lennon till the end of the season and Steve Clarke can come in once the league is over

Brendan Rodgers was the best manager celtic had for years but he had one game plan and this season more teams knew how to play against it, including us! Only problem with Lennon returning is he knows how to change game plans, especially for Old firms...

It tells us more about Brendan Rodgers than anything else. If try it's thee same behaviour he criticised in Dembele & Boyata during the summer

well done brendan rodgers, what a way to ruin such a great legacy at the club.

Thought Brendan Rodgers might have waited until the end of the season before joining #lcfc. Why not wrap up the treble at Celtic and leave in the summer, giving yourself a full preseason?
— Matt Ford (@MattFord_NA) 26 February 2019
Brendan Rodgers is an absolute 🐍. To leave Celtic as this stage of the season to go to a team 8 points away from relegation is unforgivable. Should have at least had the class to wait till the end of the season. Not a true Celtic fan after all!

@CelticFC can't believe Brendan Rodgers money talks nothing to do with loyalty, he obviously got fed up behind the scenes and at this time of the season to .... gutted

This is an absolute shambles. A dno whether to laugh or cry. I’ll be happy with Lennon till the end of the season. However my thoughts on Rodgers are that he is a disgrace for doing this to us
— Road To Ten (@CelticOK) 26 February 2019
I'm utterly shell shocked right now. Surely he could have waited til the end of the season. He's worshipped by us yet he can do this to us? It's like a knife thru the heart.

One supporter wrote on Twitter: “Brendan Rodgers what an embarrassment. Just shows how much he never even gave a f*** about this league, was clearly just a stepping stone back into the football world. Imagine being on course to achieve the first ever treble treble and leaving with 3 months to go. Money talks.”

Another added: “Ah well, the Brendan Rodgers can do no wrong crew will be defending him like nothing else but leaving at this point is absolute s****.”
Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.

We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
