The floor of a nightclub has collapsed in Tenerife, injuring 22 people including a number of British nationals.
Emergency services in the Canary Islands said people fell "about one storey" into the basement early on Sunday after a hole of approximately four square metres (43 sq ft) opened in the floor.
Two clubbers suffered serious injuries including broken legs and ankles.

According to reports, the incident happened at the Butterfly Disco Club in Las Americas, a busy gay venue.
British people are believed to have been among those caught up in the incident, although the number left injured and the natures of their injuries are not yet clear.

An FCO spokeswoman said: "We are in contact with a number of British nationals who have been injured in an incident in Tenerife and are offering consular assistance."
Known for its warm climate and beaches, Tenerife is a popular holiday destination for many Glasgow tourists.
Local authorities said other people injured include Spaniards, two Frenchmen, a Belgian and a Romanian man.
