Four teenagers have been charged over a fire at a disused school in Aberdeen.

More than 30 firefighters from six crews helped tackle the blaze at Cordyce School in Dyce at around 11pm on Monday.

The building was extensively damaged but no one was injured.

Early on Tuesday, police said three youths aged 15 and one aged 14 had been detained in connection with the fire.

They have now been charged with alleged wilful fire-raising and a report is to be sent to the Youth Justice Management Unit.
