It is one year since Donald Trump became the most powerful man on earth. So, to cheer you up, we are publishing a series of the best photos from Barack Obama’s eight years in office. Pete Souza served as the official White House photographer during that time. He photographed the President during pivotal moments in American history – including inside the Situation Room during the mission to kill Osama bin Laden. He also captured the President in unguarded moments with his family and with children he met during his two terms. Souza’s images have been collated in a new book, Obama: An Intimate Portrait
