A WALKER has been reunited with her pet dog which was lost when she slipped on a mountain two weeks ago.

Rachael Nixon’s two-year-old cockapoo Ester went missing while the pair descended Ben Chonzie in Perthshire on October 17.

The pet got away after slipping on rocks on a precarious section of the descent.

Rachael, 32, from Kirkcaldy, walked more than 80 miles of every possible route on the mountain as she searched for her beloved pet.

She said: “Out of the blue I had a voicemail on my phone from a man who said they had Ester at their farm. I couldn’t believe it.”
