Ewan McGregor has labelled Harvey Weinstein a "bully" over allegations of sexual abuse against a number of women.
The Trainspotting actor revealed he had "heard rumours" over the years and claimed the film producer was now getting what he deserved.
He posted on Twitter: "Weinstein. It's about time this came to light and he is getting is just deserts. Heard rumours over the years but this is awful. Bye Bully!"
He was joined by Kevin Bacon who praised the courage of those women coming forward.

The actor tweeted: "Fathers. Teach your sons to respect woman. Teach your daughters to use their power like the voices of these heroic woman speaking out."
Matt Damon - who launched his career off the back of the Weinstein-produced Good Will Hunting - has also spoken out on the allegations, as have Ben Affleck, Charlize Theron, Colin Firth, George Clooney, Meryl Streep, Kate Winslet, Dame Judi Dench, Leonardo DiCaprio, and a number of other stars.
Damon said he had been left "absolutely sick to my stomach" while Affleck added he was "saddened and angry that a man who I worked with used his position of power to intimidate, sexually harass and manipulate many women over decades".
Harry Potter actress Emma Watson tweeted: "I stand with all the women who have been sexually harassed, and am awestruck by their bravery. This mistreatment of women has to stop."
And Jamie Lee Curtis penned a blog on the Huffington Post in which she said she had been subject to sexual harassment.
The award-winning actress wrote: "I, too, have been subjected to my own private, personal versions of sexual harassment on the job.
"Did I ask for it? No. What I simply asked for was a job, and what came with it was sexual harassment."
One person to defend Weinstein was actress Lindsay Lohan, who called for everyone to "stop" in an Instagram video which she later deleted.
She added: "I feel very bad for Harvey Weinstein right now. I don't think it's right what's going on.
"I think (wife) Georgina (Chapman) needs to take a stand and be there for her husband. He's never harmed me and done anything wrong to me and we've done several movies together."
On Tuesday Weinstein was accused of rape by three women while Hollywood actresses Angelina Jolie and Gwyneth Paltrow both claimed they had been sexually harassed by him.
A statement released on Tuesday on behalf of the mogul said: "Any allegations of non-consensual sex are unequivocally denied by Mr Weinstein."
Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
