Fears are growing for a teen who has been missing from the Dumfries and Galloway area for six days.

David Ormerod, 15, was last seen on Sunday, March 12 after he left Dumfries Rugby Club in the town.

Inspector Rory Caldow, based at Dumfries, described David as “a vulnerable young boy,” adding how police are treating his disappearance “seriously.”

He added: “We have dedicated officers involved in the search and are visiting his known friends and family to try and trace him.

“If anyone is found to be hiding David, they may find themselves being arrested for their troubles.

“Anyone with information as to David’s whereabouts should contact police on 101.”

David is described as 5ft 10 inches, slim build, with a Geordie accent and has links to the Dumfries, Newcastle, Thornhill, Huddersfield, and Cumbernauld areas.
