Killer John Leathem has had business assests worth thousands of pounds seized.

The murderer of schoolgirl Paige Doherty has been served an order for the seizure of his Delicious Deli business assets where he butched the teenager last March.

Leathem murdered 15-year-old Paige inside his Delicious Deli shop in Clydebank, after the teenager stopped to buy a morning roll.

He stabbed the defenceless teenager 61 times and inflicted a total of more than 140 injuries during the "savage and frenzied" attack.

The Herald:

He dumped the teenager's body in bushes near Great Western Road two days later.

The Daily Record reports Companies House this week moved to strike off and dissolve the company worth assets of £17,773 (as of 2015 records).

It was reported that a letter sent yesterday to Leathem stated: "all property and rights vested in, or held in trust for, the company … will belong to the Crown”.

The Herald:

Leathem did not own the building itself and had debts of more than £21,000.

The building, which has remained unused since last March, had a memoiral plaque for the schoolgirl hung on the wall.

The Herald:

It reads: “Paige Doherty, Glasgow’s Angel Remembered With A Smile”.

CCTV of the day was made public after it helped snare monsterous Leathem.

The clips show Paige's final moments before she walked into the Delicious Deli.

It then shows Leathem bundling her body into his car, and his return to work an hour later.

The Herald:

The 32-year-old was jailed for life and ordered to serve a minimum of 27 years by Lady Rae in October.

His sentence was reduced by four years despite an appeal by Paige's parents.
