Motorists are being warned to plan ahead as a major ten-week diversion begin tonight at the Baillieston Interchange.
Work on the M8 and A8 in Baillieston will begin tonight to complete a new stretch of the road.
Diversions will begin at 8pm tonight.
The construction work is part of a multi-million pound plan to merge motorway corridors.
Works are predicted to last ten weeks and drivers are being advised to plan ahead or avoid the area to skip queues.
Plans to connect the motorways have been described as the 'missing link' .

M8/A8 east and westbound
M73 north and southbound
A89 Coatbridge Road closed westbound from roundabout with A752
A752 Langmuir Road
