The Scottish father of a 10-year-old boy who was killed in a tragic accident in Topshop posted an emotional tribute to his son online.

Kaden Reddick was killed in a freak accident inside a branch of the fashion retailer.

Father Ian Reddick, of East Kilbride, changed his Facebook profile picture to a photograph of him and his son.

He wrote as tribute: "Love you my little man, it's hurting so much."

Kaden suffered severe head injuries after he was struck on the head by a queue barrier on Monday afternoon.

He was taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Relatives and firends of the family took to social media to pay their own tributes to Kaden.

A bunch of flowers was left by a passer-by against the shop's closed shutters. A card, which was unsigned, read: "RIP little man. To the family. Please take home if you wish x."

Reading Borough Council said its health and safety officers have been working with police on the investigation.

A spokeswoman said: "Our thoughts are with the family during this difficult time.

"As the enforcing authority for health and safety within retail premises, we will be working closely with the police, who are at present leading on the investigation.

"We are contacting all parties involved in order to carry out our investigation into this tragic incident."
