A woman has been taken to hospital after being rescued from a house fire in Glasgow.

Three fire crews were called to the property on Broomhill Drive in Glasgow's west end at around 5.10am on Thursday morning.

The woman was evacuated from the two-storey building and received treatment from emergency services before being taken to hospital.

Details of her condition have not been released.

Fightfighters battled the ground floor blaze for under an hour. 

Police re-opened road closures between Crow Road and Norby Road at 6.20am following the incident.
