A man and woman have been charged with murder after the discovery of a woman's body parts.
Steven Jackson, 39, and Michelle Higgins, 28, both of Montrose, made no plea or declaration as they appeared in private at Forfar Sheriff Court. They were remanded in custody.
Police Scotland named the dead woman as 37-year-old Kim MacKenzie, who was also from the Angus town.
The discovery was made at a property in the Market Street area last Wednesday night.
