FORMER Scotland goalkeeper Andy Goram has lost his licence after being caught doing 45mph in a 30mph zone.

The 51-year-old had pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing to committing the speeding offence on the A11 Dumfries to Dalbeattie road in April.

At Dumfries Justice of the Peace Court Goram, who already had nine points, claimed that the loss of his licence would affect his charity work.

However, he was fined £100 and had three points imposed and was disqualified for six months under the totting up procedures.
