A fresh appeal for information has been issued by police investigating the death of a man found injured in Aberdeen.

Douglas Brandie, 59, was discovered by a member of the public at Shapinsay Court at around 12.30am on Tuesday October 27.

He died the next day at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

Mr Brandie was seen between the Three Lums pub on Lewis Road and the Shapinsay Court area between 11pm on Monday October 26 and the time when he was found.

Officers, who are treating his death as unexplained, are looking to trace two men they believe may have seen him.

Detective Inspector Doug Steele said: "We are continuing to appeal for information in relation to the death of Douglas Brandie and believe further members of the public could have seen him.

"One of the men is described as being about 20 years old, 6ft tall and was wearing a woollen hat and grey tracksuit top and bottoms.

"The other man is described as being aged in his fifties, 5ft 8in tall and was wearing dark jeans.

"This is an investigation into an unexplained death and we are appealing for these men, who were believed to be in the Lang Stracht area, between Tesco and Skye Road, at around 11.30pm to midnight, to come forward so we can establish if they have information that could assist with our investigation."
