Police have fully reopened Edinburgh's Princes Street after an incident at the Scott Monument.
Officers were called to the 200ft Gothic tower in East Princes Street Gardens at about 2pm after reports of concern for a person at the monument.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said the incident had been "peacefully resolved" and the road was reopened at about 3.30pm.
