CONCERN is growing for a missing man from Motherwell.

A major search has been launched for Gary Pugh, 34, was last seen around 3.15pm on Thursday.

Gary, who lives in Milton Street, Motherwell is described as white, 5ft 8in tall and of heavy build with short dark hair.

When he was last seen, he was wearing a black fleece top with “co-operative” written on the back and black cargo-style trousers.

He may also have been wearing a sleeveless florescent jacket.

Inspector Gerard Friel said: "Gary’s family and police are becoming increasingly concerned for Gary’s safety and wellbeing as he has been feeling low lately, and it is out of character for him to go missing.

"I would ask anyone who recognises his description and may have seen him, or who has any information on his whereabouts to contact Police Scotland on 101."
