Police have made a second arrest, a 16-year-old boy from west London, in connection with the TalkTalk cyberattack.

The 16-year-old, from Feltham was held on suspicion of computer misuse after a search of his home yesterday, the Metropolitan Police said.

The teenager has been bailed to a date yet to be confirmed.

It comes a matter of days after a 15-year-old boy was arrested in Northern Ireland in connection with the cyber-attack on TalkTalk’s website.

That arrest was the first major development since the phone and broadband provider said last week it had been hacked, prompting warnings from the company that the bank details and personal information of its four million customers may have been accessed.
