Two pedestrians and lorry involved in collision in Nairn
An eldery woman has died, and another has been injured, after a collision involving a lorry in Nairn.
The accident happened on Academy Street in the town centre earlier this afternoon.
Police say the road is closed until further notice.
Local diversions are in place but officers advise these routes are not suitable for HGVs or buses so they are advised to avoid the area/expect delays.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Sadly an elderly female pedestrian has died.
"The other elderly female has been transferred to Raigmore Hospital with serious injuries."
