POLICE have charged a 19-year-old woman under the Dangerous Dogs Act after a poodle was attacked and fatally injured by another dog in Fife.

Police in Levenmouth had previously appealed for witnesses to the attack, in Cotlands Park, Kennoway, at around 10.30pm on Friday when a white terrier with brown spots killed the poodle.

A police spokesman said: "Officers would like to thank the public and media for their help in tracing the owner of the dog."

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
