ANIMALS caused havoc on a busy stretch of railway today.

Cattle - which are believed to have escaped from a nearby farm - affected services from around 9am.

The confused cow were seen wandering on the line between at Dalgety Bay.

Police were called out to make sure the animals were moved to safety.

ScotRail said services between Edinburgh and Aberdeen were affected.

A statement read: "We apologise for the delay to your journey today."
