HUNDREDS of campaigners took to the streets yesterday to fight for independence.

The rally, named All Under One Banner, saw members of RISE, the Socialist Worker party, the Solidarity party and grassroots campaigners walk from Glasgow's West End.

Setting off at 11am, they ,marched from Kelvingrove Park to Glasgow Green in the East End where a range of speakers addressed the crowd.

A police presence could be seen in the area near the march, however a Police Spokeswoman later confirmed there had been no reports of any incidents taking place during the event.

Campaigners also browsed stalls set up at the city greenspace listened to music during the afternoon.

Drummers and pipers kicked off the walk and hundreds could be seen carrying satires and pro-independence flags through the city, as well as a banner which read " End London Rule".

Speeches were given by members of various political groups including RISE and the Scottish Unemployed Workers Network.
