Michael Farry was found dead on Thursday
Police have named a man who died in a house fire in Dumfries.
Michael Farry, 65, was found in his first-floor flat in Dalston Avenue by the fire service at 7.44am on Thursday but was declared dead at the scene by emergency services.
The fire was extinguished in the flat, where Mr Farry lived alone.
The circumstances are not believed to be suspicious and a report has been sent to the procurator fiscal.
