David Cameron and Chinese president Xi Jinping have witnessed the signing of a number of deals signalling closer co-operation between their governments.

Following talks at Downing Street, ministers and officials formally signed agreements on issues ranging from customs links to sustainable development goals.

Chancellor George Osborne signed a deal for closer customs co-operation between HMRC and the Chinese General Administration of Customs.

He also signed an agreement between the Treasury and China's National Development and Reform Commission on infrastructure and public sector franchises.

Business Secretary Sajid Javid signed agreements on enhanced co-operation over emerging strategic industries and local co-operation on trade and investment.

International Development Secretary Justine Greening signed an agreement with China's Ministry of Commerce on sustainable development goals.
