The winner of Great British Bake Off Nadiya Jamir Hussain is among those in a live spin-off style best bakes show in Edinburgh.

The 30-year-old from Leeds who wowed Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry with her baking skills to win this year is among a host of finalists taking part in the Cake and Bake Show at the Royal Highland Centre, Ingliston.

This year’s final of the Great British Bake Off saw Nadiya crowned as the country's best amateur baker after an emotional final against Ian Cumming and Tamal Ray.

The 2015 finalists will recreate their most memorable bakes at the Great British Bake Off Live stage alongside bakers from past shows.

Nadiya said: "It’s been a whirlwind since I won the Great British Bake Off, and my adventure has only just begun.

"I am truly grateful for how supportive everyone has been, and now I am looking forward to the Cake and Bake Show."

Flora Sheddon, from Dunkeld, Perthshire, and the 19-year-old semi-finalist of the Great British Bake Off 2015, said: "I was so surprised to get to the semi-finals, I never thought I would get that far."

The Cake and Bake show also has demonstrations from celebrity ambassadors including Ms Faulkner, winner of Celeb Masterchef, master patissier Eric Lanlard and Coronation Street star and Celeb Masterchef finalist Wendi Peters.

GBBO fans will also get to see competitors Ugne Aleksejenko, Marie Campbell, Jo Wheatley, John Whaite and Norman Calder.

The show organiser, Media 10, said it is expecting 18,000 visitors to the Edinburgh venue.

The event management company’s portfolio includes Grand Designs Live and The Ideal Home Show, described as the world’s oldest consumer exhibition, .

The Edinburgh Cake and Bake Show is at the Royal Highland Centre in Ingliston from Friday 0ctober 30, to Sunday, November 1, 2015.
