A MAN has been arrested by police investigating an alleged sex attack in a Glasgow nightclub.
Cops confirmed a 37-year-old was arrested in connection with an alleged incident early yesterday morning.
He is alleged to have sexually assaulted a 24-year-old woman in Distrikt Nightclub, in the Merchant City area.
Detectives were called after they received a report of the alleged sex attack in the Albion Street premises between 2am and 3am on Sunday.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Officers received a report of an alleged sexual assault between 2am and 3am on Sunday October 18.
"A 36-year-old male has been arrested in connection with an alleged sexual assault in a licensed premises in Albion Street, in Glasgow."
The 36-year-old is expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court later today.
