A BIN lorry driver has been reported by police after a road crash in Glasgow today.

Police said a 47-year-old woman was injured and rushed to hospital when her car was involved in a collision with a bin lorry in Polmadie Road.

Emergency services were called to the scene at around 11.35am and the woman was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

She was later released.

The road was closed while investigations were carried out and re-opened shortly before 2pm.

A Police Scotland spokesman confirmed officers were sent to the scene in the South Side yesterday morning.

He added: "A 32-year-old man is the subject of a report to the fiscal in connection with alleged road traffic offences."
