Scots actor Ewan McGregor has launched an online search to find the first car he ever bought.
McGregor posted a picture of him standing beside the Volkswagen Beetle he bought when he was 16 on Instagram.
The Transpotting star worked as a dish washer for two years to buy his first car.
He said: "The day I bought my first car. I was 16. I'd washed dishes for two years and saved the £500 she cost. It seems she's gone now old ESL 380V, I can't find her. If you ever come across her let me know. Cheers. #stonewashed."
The post has been flooded with replies on Twitter and Instagram with fans vowing to help McGregor track down his pride and joy.
One fan said: "That's an amazing pic. Kids definitely aren't the same these days. I hope you find your car."
Another said: "Great story. It's so much better when you work hard for something. You learn early that nothing comes easy."
The post has already received over 25,700 likes on Instagram.
