Two lorry drivers who died in a three-vehicle crash on the A90 in Aberdeenshire have been named by police.

The collision, involving two HGVs and a car, happened on the Foveran to Balmedie stretch near Hatterseat at about 1.20pm on Monday.

Police Scotland have named the two men who died as Farquhar Kennedy, 54, and Rimas Kuskys, 43.

The female car driver was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with minor injuries.

The road was closed following the crash to allow investigations to take place at the scene.

Police have appealed for anyone who witnessed the collision to contact them on 101.
