A man has been arrested and drugs worth around £80,000 have been seized after police searched a car.

Officers stopped the vehicle in McLeod Crescent, Prestonpans, East Lothian, yesterday.

The vehicle was searched and 2kg of cocaine was found, police said.

A 63-year-old man was arrested and he is due to appear in Edinburgh Sheriff Court.

Chief Inspector Matt Paden said: "Tackling the sale and supply of drugs is a priority for police in East Lothian.

"I want to recognise the fantastic police effort that went into this operation and also the professionalism and commitment shown by officers.
