Man, 22, charged with abduction and attempted murder in Midlothian
A man has appeared in court charged with the abduction and attempted murder of two men.
Two men, aged 18 and 22, were taken to hospital with abdominal injuries following an alleged incident on Monday at an address in John Street, Penicuik, Midlothian.
Conor McCallum, 22, appeared in private at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today, where he was charged with abduction.
He also faced two charges of attempted murder, the Crown Office confirmed.
McCallum, of Loanhead, Midlothian, made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody.
The case was continued for further examination and he is expected to return to court in about a week's time.
