Actress Vicki Michelle has said she feared she could have been "blinded" after being hit by a champagne glass during a brawl on Celebrity Big Brother's Bit On The Side.

Police are investigating the row at Elstree Studios in north London between American reality TV personality Farrah Abraham and former contestant Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace.

The 64-year-old 'Allo 'Allo actress is thought to have been caught in the crossfire after tensions flared when Horgan-Wallace and Abraham traded insults and the live Channel 5 show was taken off air 10 minutes earlier than scheduled.

Michelle said she was hit by a glass allegedly thrown by Abraham.

She told the Daily Mirror: "I'm in complete and utter shock. If I had been looking the other way I could have got it full in the face, she could have blinded me. It was awful.

"She whacked the glass hard like a discus. It was the base of the glass and it shattered in my hair. It was so hard my head went forward and back. It all went off, it was like the OK Corral, it was like being in a Western. I couldn't believe that was happening on national television.

"It happened in such an instance that the audience went quiet, they were stunned. They couldn't believe it."

Michelle, who was checked over by paramedics and later had an MRI scan, said a doctor told her she had suffered concussion and whiplash as a result.

The paper quoted a spokesman for Abraham as saying it was the reality star who had been attacked first and she also needed medical attention.

Meanwhile, Horgan-Wallace tweeted: "I did not throw any glass. Ever. Get your facts right. It's boring now."

A spokesman for Hertfordshire Police said: "Officers are currently making inquiries to establish the exact circumstances of what happened and will release further details when appropriate."

A Channel 5 spokesman said on Wednesday: "Last night's Celebrity Big Brother's Bit On The Side was interrupted due to an incident on set. Everyone involved is fine and last night's events are currently being investigated."
