A Scot was robbed in Bulgaria after having sex in bushes with a "dark exotic" woman.

The 32-year-old man - who has not been named - was approached by the woman as he walked home from a nightclub in the Black Sea resort of Sunny Beach.

Police said he described the woman as "beautiful" and agreed to her suggestion that they should have sex. After what the Bulgarian newspaper Trud called a "session" in the bushes, the man discovered that his wallet was missing with 600 Bulgarian Lev and £100. He also lost a gold neckless "of unknown weight", said the police.

Law enforcement officials in Nessebar, the old town close to the Sunny Beach resort, are investigating. Trud reported that the description of the criminal "was not very specific". She was, the man told officers, "dark-skinned, dark-haired and exotic".

Some news sources said the woman was a prostitute and that the man, a tourist, had agreed to sexual services "for a fee" after meeting her in the street. The crime took place on September 18.
