A man who was caught with heroin worth £77,000 on the street during a police raid on his home has been jailed for four years and eight months.

Officers found the drug on the hall carpet, in a toilet and in a bedroom during a search at Andrew Love's house.

More than three quarters of a kilo of the Class A drug was recovered after police forced entry to the property in Argyle Street, in Edinburgh.

A judge told Love, 51, at the High Court in the city: "You must have been well aware of the risk you were running by becoming concerned in the supply of heroin and you must now pay the penalty."
