Police in Canada investigating a fatal shooting in a small community west of Ottawa that prompted them to put the town on lockdown say they are now investigating three murders.
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said all three victims are women.
A 57-year-old suspect, who has not been named, has been arrested by police in Ottawa, about 111 miles away.
OPP said various lockdowns which were put in place in Wilno while police searched for the armed suspect have been lifted.
Police had initially only said the man was being sought in connection with one shooting.
They said officers were called to a location just before 9am on Tuesday and found the body of a woman. As a result of information they received, they then went to another home in the community and found the body of a second woman.
Shortly after 11.10am, police say they found a third woman dead at a home about half an hour away from Wilno.
Several businesses and schools in Wilno were placed on lockdown while the search for the suspect was under way.
Extra security measures were also taken in Ottawa as police announced the suspect may have headed to the city.
Heavily-armed Royal Canadian Mounted Police officers were seen on Parliament Hill and many buildings in the vicinity were placed on lockdown.
The man was arrested at about 2.30pm in western Ottawa.
