SCOTS comedy superstar Kevin Bridges wowed Glasgow as his mammoth 100-date tour landed back home.

The 28-year-old Clydebank comic played the first of 16 sold out nights at the SECC Hydro and the excitement could be felt across social media.

Louisa Millar tweeted: "I am so buzzing for Kevin Bridges."

Lyndsey Gillen made a request to Bridges on Facebook for a "big shout out" as she and her boyfriend Richard Shaw had just got engaged adding: "Can't wait to see your show."

One fan who decided not go Clint Conlin said: "Just sold my Kevin Bridges Tickets for above face value. I started to feel bad but I've got mouths

to feed...!"

Before he arrived on stage, there was an advert for his new live DVD available on November 23, which has yet to be shot.

Earlier Bridges tweeted: "Doors about to open for the first Hydro show! Let's go Glasgow!"

Bridges' A Whole Different Story tour started in June in Leeds before visiting towns and cities across the country and finishing in Douglas on the Isle of Man.

Scotland's biggest modern comedy export dubbed as "brilliant" by one of his comedy idols, Billy Connolly has had an astonishing rise to success since he broke onto the scene when he was nominated as Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2009.
