In tomorrow's Herald Magazine, we look at the work of the Maggie's Centres, ahead of that, here's  five ways for you to help Maggie’s

1. Maggie’s Culture Crawl Edinburgh 2015, sponsored by Brodies LLP Part night-walk, part cultural adventure Maggie’s Culture Crawl Edinburgh, sponsored by Brodies LLP, is inspired by the architectural design and programme of support so integral to Maggie’s, as walkers get the chance to explore Edinburgh discovering cultural, architectural and artistic delights along the way.

The event has been curated by author Alexander McCall Smith who has written a special short story to celebrate the route and who will be there on the night to kick-start the event. Registration costs £25 with a minimum fundraising target of £100. Online registration is open until Wednesday 23rd September although it is possible to register on the night as long as payments are in cash. 2. Martin Currie Rob Roy Challenge Maggie’s is a charity partner for next year’s Martin Currie Rob Roy Challenge – a well established walking and cycling event on June 18th 2016 which offers would-be fundraisers four options for tackling the Scottish wilderness around Kenmore and Pitlochry. Public entry costs £100, but there is an early bird fee of £75 currently in place. Minimum sponsorship is £350. 3. Edinburgh Marathon Festival As one of the top five affiliated charities, Maggie’s has guaranteed places available for all races in the 2016 Edinburgh Marathon Festival which will see thousands of pounds come to Maggie’s thanks to runners taking part in what is possibly the best event in the Scottish running calendar. A range of runs of different lengths take place over the weekend of May 28th and 29th 2016, with the 26.2 mile full marathon considered amongst one of the best in the world. 4. Regular Giving Regular donations play a crucial role in ensuring Maggie’s can provide warm and welcoming places which provide free practical, emotional and social support to people with cancer as well as their family and friends. 5. Maggie’s Glasgow Christmas Music concert Maggie’s Glasgow is holding a Christmas Music Concert at the city’s stunning Oran Mor on Sunday 29th November. The cosy, festive afternoon will begin at 2pm when guests will be welcomed with chiming handbells, mulled wine and minced pies before settling down for a couple of hours of beautiful choral music including our very own Maggie's Centre Choir.
