A cannabis farm worth £15,000 has been uncovered in a police raid.

Officers seized the cultivation on Monday from an address in Park Avenue, Loanhead, Midlothian, after a call from a member of the public.

A 38-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the find and was due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff court.

Chief inspector Kenny Simpson said: "Tackling the sale and supply of drugs is a top priority for police in Midlothian.

"It was due to information gathered from the local community that we were able to confiscate this cultivation and we thank the public for helping us bring about this recovery."
