A MAN has been arrested in connection with the death of a pensioner in Saltcoats.
Malcolm Ballantyne, 72, was found dead in his home in Glebe Place on Friday August 21.
A 32-year-old man has been arrested and is presently detained in police custody in connection with the death
He is expected to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal."
