SCARLETT Johansson has received some rave reviews for her role in her latest film, in which she plays an alien seductress scouring the Highlands for hitchhikers to harvest and ship back to her planet for food.

Under the Skin's director Jonathan Glazer has told how Johansson spent weeks undercover driving around Glasgow in full costume picking up strangers, who signed a release to give permission for taking part in the film.

The film is an adaptation of the Michael Faber book and has been praised at the Venice Film Festival, with Johansson credited for her performance as a "classic femme fatal".
