A FORMER paralegal has been jailed for more than three years after being caught with drugs worth almost £140,000.

Gary Corkindale, 35, of Bishopbriggs, was arrested after police raided a flat in Glasgow's Bridgeton in January last year.

Officers seized £122,000 of cannabis, £12,990 of amphetamine and £4000 of cocaine.

Corkindale admitted to charges of being concerned in the supply of the drugs when he appeared at the High Court in Glasgow. Corkindale, who was jailed for three years and two months, was latterly a co-owner of a cleaning firm.

He was previously a respected paralegal for an un-named law firm.

Co-accused Mark Doleman, 36, admitted being concerned in the supply of amphetamine and having a stun gun following a separate raid at a flat in Dennistoun, Glasgow.

He was jailed for two years and four months.
