Scots are less hung up about counting calories or keeping a check on alcohol units than the rest of Britain, according to a new study of UK consumers.

A new report reveals that two-thirds of Scottish consumers never track their calorie consumption and 78% are unaware of how many units of alcohol they consume each week.

The numbers compare to a national average of just over half (54%) who do not know how many calories they have consumed and 73% who monitor their alcohol intake.

And the majority of Scots, 61%, said they did not support the Scottish Government's interference on alcohol pricing.
