FILM-MAKER Ken Loach last night won the Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival with his Scottish whisky-tasting comedy, The Angels' Share.

The delighted 76-year-old said his film about the struggles of a group of unemployed Glasgow youths proved that cinema is "not just an entertainment".

Austrian director Michael Haneke took the top prize, the Palme d'Or, with Amour – his stark film about love and death.
