Jefferies fears for injured Invincibile
THE Kilmarnock manager, Jim Jefferies, fears his striker, Danny Invincibile, could be out for the rest of the season with an ankle injury suffered against Livingston on Wednesday.
Invincibile went for a scan yesterday and Jefferies said: ''I don't know how bad it is and there is always a fear that he could be out for some time.''
Hammell starts Fir Park turf war
STEVEN HAMMELL, the Motherwell defender, yesterday claimed the Fir Park pitch was so bad that the players prefer playing away from home.
Hammell said: ''The boys here hate playing on the pitch. It's so poor you can't even play one simple pass without the ball bobbling and bouncing.''

THE fans' group opposed to Hearts moving from Tynecastle have received a boost after three high-profile supporters signed up for their campaign.

The former Falkirk player now wants to sign up Scott Crabbe on a full-time contract as his No.2. McAllister said: ''Scott is currently just on loan from Alloa until the end of the season, but we will get something sorted out.''
Double delight for Airdrie's McLaren
THE Airdrie youngster, Willie McLaren, yesterday claimed both the young and senior player of the month awards in the second division.
The 19-year-old has scored seven goals this month and is the second player to claim both titles, after Falkirk's Mark Kerr in September 2000.
Accolades rolling in for McLean
SCUNTHORPE'S young on-loan Rangers striker, Steven MacLean, has been nominated for England's third division player of the year award. McLean has scored 23 goals, prompting Rangers to hand him another year's contract after interest from Aberdeen and Norwich.
Highland legend loses cancer battle
Davie Johnston, the Highland League legend, has died from cancer. The former Nairn County centre forward, who once hit 73 goals in a season, also played for Hearts and Aberdeen.
Sandy Finlayson, of Nairn's committee, said: ''He was an absolute legend and anyone who watched him play never forgot his skills.''
Muscat set to miss Millwall's big day
THE former Rangers player, Kevin Muscat, will miss Millwall's FA Cup final with Manchester United after needing surgery on his knee injury.
