The daughter of Eric Liddell is in talks with a scriptwriter about a new film on his life.
Liddell won Olympic gold and silver in Paris in 1924, when the devout Christian refused to run on the Sabbath. The 1981 film, Chariots of Fire, centred on his triumph, but Patricia Russell, believes her father's work and death as a missionary in China more worthy of a film.
