US company Microframe yesterday said it had signed a letter of intent to acquire the privately held Solcom Systems, based in Livingston.
Solcom is a developer of remote monitoring technology, while Edison, New Jersey-based Microframe develops remote network management systems for voice, video and data networks.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
The transaction will require the approval of Microframe shareholders and is likely to take several months to complete, the company said in a statement.
